Does anyone here used or brought windows 7 software already? Does it perform well?
i have not tried it yet.. getting next week i think..

I have Windows 7 Home Premium right now and I love it. It's different, yes, but I don't find it much harder to use. That may simply be because I'm a fast learner. I like the professional feel that comes with it. Plus, it's simply more advanced.

I heard allot of it, but no didn't order it or use it now. I don't need it anyway.

I use windows 7. Very nice, imo, and a big improvement over Vista.

Im currently using windows 7 too! and its great, has more features then xp (was using before 7). I got the upgrade when it was half off and i say it was worth it

I don't currently have it on this laptop but when my new laptop comes I think its got Windows 7 on it

Now windows 7 can be upgrade from any OS.

Not true windows 7 can not upgrade a xp or 2000 machine. Much less a GNU/Linux machine which uses a completey different FileSystem.

i should say in this way. If you are using xp or vista, you can upgrade to windows 7..

incorrect again,the windows 7 upgrade only works for Vista.

Plus some computers that use XP,might not be able to use windows 7 do to low specs.

Windows 7 needs 1gb ram min and believe it or not there are still laptops and desktops with below 1gb.

nope.. but in my country it is possible for both OS..

No sir it is the same no matter where in the world you live. Now you can upgrade from xp by not really upgrading prer say,but doing a clean install.
However you will need to have atleast 1gb ram and a graphics card with atleast 256 mb memory.

7 doesn't perform well with 1GB of ram.
I personally don't like 7, it still is slow to me.
Also it is proprietary, which I dislike.
I prefer free(as in freedom), secure, and fast.
That's why I use GNU/Linux
