If you start a forum, does the founder of the forum need to know how to code? like HTML or CSS? i think the best that the founder should know how to code a bit at least.

You don't need to know any kind of coding language. It's handy to know, but not necessary.

There are resource forums around for that kind of stuff anyway.

I think yes. You need to know about it so you can do it fast and good. Without waiting for help from others.

yeah! that is what i am thinking also..

some forum owners know code ( like me ) but find it easier at times to just start out with using for example PHPbb2 ( i think i have that right )

For me its a yes cause you will need to add some codes like affiliates.

As i am learning HTML now!
