I got a chat box and with that you can learn the new members pretty fast if they begin to chat of course. I so manged to get online with a mate from there.
Pretty fun and cool.

i do not in tend to put one.. as no one will come online and chat in it..

that depends where you put it, I don't know if its possible with the software you use to have on the same place a chat box like on our forums.

I do. I put it above the index. Although sometime people use that and never post.

Me personally, I don't add them, they take away potential discussion from the forum. But a few people say they would rather have spam in their chatbox than in the forum, but I think otherwise, if someone spams the forum, you can just move the posts to a trash bin and still keep the post count.

A chat box is great to get to know new people if they start chatting in it.

No, Chatboxes get filled with spam and make the forum look untidy.

I hate chatboxes, all they do is make the forum look worse.

My forum doesn't have a chatbox but I have had chatboxes on my old forums.
They were on ForuMotion though. You can add a chatbox with a click of a button.

I wouldn't add it to my forum on any other host though.

Chat box is not as good as a chat room if someone want to chat they go

I had a chatbox on my old forum, however I currently don't have one on my general chat forum.

i love chatting on chatbox it makes fun . totally if you want to talk with people it is very instantly and it doesn't matter posts, posts are at the same average . you can discuss about anything in chatbox . you can even have JAVA chatbox . it is very fast and there are always people roaming from channel to channel .

No. It limits users from posting.
If you have a chatbox all their words will go into it and not into the boards.

I like chats it makes people come back if you get tit active.
